DAILY TUITION RESPONSIBILITY
Home education is a legally recognised alternative to formal schooling in South Africa, as outlined in Section 51 of the South African Schools Act (1996). Parents have the right to educate their children at home and may register their learners with the Provincial Head of Education if they so choose. As a parent making use of NGI’s products and services, you may opt to facilitate your child’s daily learning yourself or appoint a qualified
tutor or educational support centre.
Option 1: Parent-Led Tuition
I, the parent/guardian, will be responsible for delivering the daily lessons and overseeing my child’s academic progress. I will also ensure the completion and submission of all assessments, and the Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) as required.
Option 2: Tutor or Centre -Based Tuition
I have appointed a tutor or registered tuition centre to provide instruction and facilitate the daily completion of the curriculum and assessment portfolio.
Note: NGI offers access to approved Subject-Based Assessment Venues across the country. These venues support formal assessments in line with NGI’s Assessment Policies and Procedures.
GRADE R–9 DECLARATION
I confirm that the learner has successfully completed the grade immediately preceding the one being applied for, in accordance with the CAPS curriculum.
I acknowledge that I am responsible for submitting the learner’s final 2025 academic report to NextGen Innovators (NGI) no later than 17 December 2025.
Curriculum Delivery Terms and Language Policy
Academic Promotion Requirement: Curriculum materials will only be issued once a valid report has been received, confirming that the learner has successfully progressed to the next academic grade.
Language Availability: While all official communication from NGI is conducted in English, curriculum materials are available in both Afrikaans Huistaal and English Home Language, based on the learner’s selected language preference.
